Missing Wallsend teenager is found safe and well

Police have confirmed that a missing teenager who was not heard from since midday yesterday has now been found safe and well.

The teenager was last seen in the Welwyn Close area of Wallsend at midday on Saturday and Northumbria Police were growing increasingly concerned for the 15-year-old's welfare.

However, she now been found safe and well, police confirmed this evening (Sunday, August 25).

The force advises having specific information ready when you call 101 about a missing person, including where you saw them, the date and time of when you saw them, and a description of what they were wearing. You can also report a sighting and seek help and advice at Missing People.
