Police Guard Body Bag in Turun Market Square Following Stabbing Attack

Police in Turku, Finland, said several people were stabbed in the city center on Friday, August 18.

This video, taken after the attack, shows police blocking access to parts of Turku market square. A white body bag is visible on the ground.

The local police said they shot one perpetrator, and that one person was apprehended. They also said they were searching for other possible perpetrators, and asked people to avoid the center of the city.

Prime Minister of Finland Juha Sipilä said the government was monitoring the situation closely.
