Police in Hagley Road West as boy, three, hit by car on one of Birmingham's busiest roads
A child was hit by a car on one of Birmingham's busiest roads yesterday evening, police have confirmed. The boy, aged three, was involved in the collision on Hagley Road West - a major commuter route in and out of the city.
Pictures from the scene captured several marked police cars parked outside Quinton Carpets on Friday night, January 31. Emergency services, including police officers and paramedics, were called to reports of the "collision involving a child and a vehicle."
The three-year-old was checked over by paramedics and he was taken to hospital for further checks. Fortunately, police do not believe his injuries to be serious. The incident took place at around 5pm, during the evening rush hour.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: "We were called at around 5pm last night (31 Jan) to reports of a collision involving a child and a vehicle. A three-year-old boy was looked over by paramedics.
"He was later taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be serious for further checks."
