Police hope to trace car's driver Colchester after attack left taxi driver with fractured skull

Police investigating an assault that left a taxi driver with a fractured skull have released a CCTV image of a car whose driver they believe may have witnessed the attack. The taxi driver was found injured on Brinkley Grove Road, Colchester, at around 1.50am on Saturday, November 2.

Police investigating an assault that left a taxi driver with a fractured skull have released a CCTV image of a car whose driver they believe may have witnessed the attack. The taxi driver was found injured on Brinkley Grove Road, Colchester, at around 1.50am on Saturday, November 2.

He was taken to hospital but has since been discharged. Two men have been arrested on suspicion of GBH in connection with the incident.

Now police says officers are looking to trace the driver of a white car which drove past The Gilberd School from Highclere Road onto Brinkley Grove Road at around 1.40am on the same day.
