Police hunt seven-year-old who pulled knife on OAP in carjacking

Police are hunting two boys aged seven and 12 who allegedly pulled a knife on a woman in her 60s in a carjacking.

The victim was reversing her car onto a driveway in Westbury Road, Ipswich, when the two boys approached the car.

One opened the door, demanded she got out and threatened her with a knife, Suffolk Police said. The boys then got in and drove off, the force said.

The woman was unharmed but was left shaken by the incident, which happened at around 6.25pm on Saturday (September 21).

Appealing for witnesses, police said the first suspect is described as male, around 12 years old, of small build, between 4ft 10ins and 5ft 2ins, with dark hair and dark eyes. He was wearing a multi-coloured t-shirt and blue shorts.

The second is thought to be around seven years old and stockier, between 4ft 8ins and 5ft 1ins, with dark hair and dark eyes. He was wearing a blue buttoned-up shirt and dark coloured shorts.

Police want to speak to anyone who may have seen a five-door maroon Mazda 5 Takara or similar coloured vehicle being driven in Westbury Road and Rushmere Road in Ipswich on Saturday between 6pm and 6.30pm.
