Police hunt driver after three-car smash at Lime Kiln lights

Police are hunting a driver following a three-car crash at a notorious Stoke-on-Trent junction. Emergency services were sent to Bucknall New Road following the collision at Lime Kiln lights.

Two vehicles remained at the scene but the driver of the third - believed to be a green Ford - had fled on Monday evening (February 3).

Officers are now appealing for the public's help to trace the suspect, who was a white man, around 6ft tall with a slim build with black hair. He was wearing a dark grey coat with a hood, black trousers and black shoes.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "We were called to Bucknall New Road in Hanley at 7.55pm on Monday, February 3 following reports of a collision involving three vehicles.

"Two cars were still at the scene. The driver of the third vehicle did not stay at the scene and left on foot. Recovery for both of the cars was arranged at the scene. Anyone with any information is asked to get in touch."
