Police have released a picture of a man they want to speak to after a teenage girl was sexually assaulted in a car in Wolverhampton.

The alleged assault took place in the suspect's black BMW in Chapel Ash between 6pm and 8pm on 19 November last year, Wolverhampton Police said.

The suspect is described as being around six feet tall and approximately 20 years old.

On Monday, the force published an image of a man they are trying to identify in connection with the incident.

Wolverhampton Police launched an appeal to find the man on social media, urging people to get in touch if they recognised him.

They wrote: “Do you recognise this man? We want to speak to him about a sexual assault on a teenage girl in the Chapel Ash area of #Wolverhampton.

“It happened between 6pm and 8pm on 19 November in the suspect's car, a black BMW.

"He is around six feet tall and is around 20 years old.”
