Police say they are continuing to hunt the occupants of a white Audi car following a high-speed police chase in Plymouth last week. The dramatic incident happened last Thursday (September 12), with several residents in the area reporting officers in hot pursuit of the vehicle as it sped through the North Prospect and Honicknowle areas at "silly speeds".

Police reportedly threw spikes into the road in an effort to apprehend the car, and a police helicopter was seen circling, before armed police units later caught up to the Audi on Ferndale Road, closing off the road as they waited for a recovery vehicle to come and collect the car.

However, Devon and Cornwall Police has now confirmed that the occupants of the white Audi had fled by the time the car was found, and that officers are still searching for them.
