Police 'increasingly concerned' for missing 14-year-old Scots girl

An urgent search has been launched for a teenager who has been missing from the Borders for almost 24 hours.

Skye MacDonald, from Galashiels, was last seen at Kenilworth Avenue in the town at 4.30pm on Thursday, June 20.

Police have now put out a public appeal to trace her saying they are "increasingly concerned" for her welfare.

The 14-year-old is described as 5’6” tall with dark shoulder length hair with a green streak through it. Skye has blue eyes and wears black rimmed glasses.

She was last seen wearing black leggings, a black hoodie with red wings on the front and black and white trainers.

Inspector Colin Deans said: “We are growing increasingly concerned from the welfare of Skye. I would appeal to anyone who knows the whereabouts of Skye to get in touch with Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3825 of 20th June 2024.
