Police investigating sudden death of 2-year-old boy in Cambridge

Police in Cambridge are investigating after the sudden death of a two-year-old boy on Monday morning.

Officers were called to the area of Beverly Street and Dundas Street North around 6 a.m. for a report of a missing two-year-old boy.

"Upon arrival, police located the child unresponsive. Life-saving measures were provided and the child was transported to a local hospital. Unfortunately, the child was later pronounced deceased," a release by Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) said.

Police say there is no concern for public safety.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
