Police are investigating after a coach depot went up in flames - along with 'several buses'. One witness spoke of their horror at seeing flames and multiple coaches ablaze while driving past.

The major fire broke out at Johnsons Coaches in Henley-in-Arden in the early hours of this morning, Saturday, November 30. Four fire crews were dispatched to the scene in Liveridge Hill after the first call at 1.30am.

Warwickshire Police officers were dealing with the fire investigations this morning and took "primacy" of the incident. One witness, Janet Solomon, wrote: "I was horrified to see it on fire. We were driving past at 2am this morning and could see the flames well before we got to the depot.

"We hope that nobody was injured and it doesn't affect your business too much." It's understood no one was hurt in the incident, although this has not yet been confirmed by police.

A spokeswoman for Johnsons Coaches told worried locals everyone was safe as they took to social media to confirm the incident. They wrote: "We are aware of the fire incident at our depot and we are working with the police and fire services to address the situation. Everyone is safe. Thank you."

A spokesman for Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service told BirminghamLive: "We attended after the first call came in at 1.30am. We had four appliances in attendance. Police are taking primacy of this incident."

Warwickshire Police said officers were still dealing with the incident at 11am on Saturday and would release more information as it became available. They could only confirm an investigation is ongoing.
