Police investigation launched after bone discovered at Caernarfon recycling site
A police probe has been launched after a bone was discovered at a recycling site. The discovery was made at the Gwynedd Skip and Plant Hire site on Cibyn Industrial Estate in Caernarfon late last week.
Officers from North Wales Police have carried out further searches at the site since then, with this activity concluding today [Tuesday]. The force said an investigation into the discovery was ongoing.
A police spokesman said: "Shortly after 12pm on Thursday, November 7th, we received a report a bone had been located at a private recycling centre on Cibyn Industrial Estate in Caernarfon. Investigations are ongoing, however our searches of the site have concluded this afternoon."

Police have not said whether the bone has been confirmed as being from a human. Witnesses reported seeing a heavy police presence at the site on Friday, with forensic investigators reportedly at the scene.
On Tuesday afternoon, there was still a visible police presence at the site, with four to five police cars seen parked on the industrial estate. Gwynedd Skip and Plant Hire was approached for comment.
