Police Issue Fines as Hundreds of People Crowd Into Liverpool Park on St Patrick's Day

Police in Liverpool fined 43 people and arrested one after an estimated 1,000 people gathered at Sefton Park on St Patrick’s Day.

This footage, posted to Twitter, shows crowds of people at the park in the south of the city.

Merseyside Police Supt Mark Wiggins said, “Unfortunately there are some people who believe the rules are not meant for them,” after police dispersed crowds on Wednesday.
