Police issue hilarious appeal to trace violent SHEEP after it ‘assaulted’ an officer

Police in New Zealand are looking for a violent sheep that assaulted one of their officers – with the whole incident captured on video.

The Waitermata Police Department said they were looking for a sheep with “a medium build” after it targeted the cop in a field.

Hilarious footage released on the department’s Facebook page shows the officer greeted by the suspect while his colleagues watch on, apparently from a ledge.

The sheep is clearly not happy with the human intruder and promptly takes a big run up to him, head butting him right in the back of the knees.

Shocked at the wooly assault, the officer cries out as the sheep gets underneath him while officers in the background laugh hysterically.

The department posted a joke appeal on Facebook to help find the chief suspect.

They wrote: “HAVE YOU SEEN THIS SHEEP? Police would like to speak with him in relation to an assault on a police officer on the North Shore.

“He is described as being of medium build, with white hair that has been recently shorn.

“Please approach with caution and call us immediately if you know where he is.”

The officer involved is now said to be feeling a little sheepish.
