Police issue update after man dies and another arrested

Police have issued an update after they were called to the death of a man in Pwllheli, Gwynedd, on Saturday (November 9). An investigation was launched and a man was arrested.

In an update, North Wales Police said the the death was no longer being treated as suspicious and the man has been released from custody.

A statement from the force last night said: "In respect of our investigation into the death of a local man in Pwllheli yesterday afternoon (9th November), we would like to update the local community that the death is no longer being treated as suspicious.

"A local male initially arrested in connection with the death has since been released from Police custody.

"Our officers will now be working to provide a report for HM Coroner. Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the gentleman who has passed away.

"We would also like to thank the community of Pwllheli for their patience and understanding whilst our enquiries were conducted in the area."
