Police issue update after man dies following 'altercation' on bus
Police have issued an update following an incident on a bus where a man died. Officers were called Cotswold Road in Poplars and Hulme in Warrington at around 7pm on Saturday, July 13.
It followed a report there had been an altercation between two men on the 6.40pm number 20 bus travelling from Warrington Bus Station to Poplars Avenue. One of the men, a 74-year-old, had collapsed and was taken to hospital but later died.
A 48-year-old man was previously arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and was subsequently released on conditional bail. In an update today, Monday, September 16, a spokesperson for Cheshire Police confirmed the man would face no further action and the case is now considered closed.
