Police issue update after officers swarm estate

Police have issued an update after officers swarmed an estate in Liverpool. Merseyside Police was called to Round Hey on Stockbridge Village at around 8pm on Sunday, November 10.

It followed a report damage had been caused to the front door of a home. Police believed the damage was caused by a gun, however in an update on Friday, November 15, a spokesperson for the force said the incident is an "unconfirmed discharge."

In a statement, they said: "In relation to Stockbridge Village the investigation and examination of the scene suggests that this is an unconfirmed discharge. Enquiries remain ongoing."

Multiple cordons were in place around the estate, with three matrix vans and dozens of officers at the scene. Police were also pictured carrying out fingertip searches in the surrounding area.

Merseyside Police said there are no reported injuries and extensive CCTV and witness enquiries are being carried out in the area to find the people responsible.
