Police issue warning over fake Netflix email scam
Cheshire police have issued a warning over a fraudulent scam targeting Netflix customers.
Officers took to Facebook to warn that people receiving an unofficial email, claiming to be from the popular media streaming service, are being targeted by criminals.
The scam is trying to bank details as well as log in information for the streaming service, said police.
The email claims that customers which receive it have problems with payment to Netflix.

It then asks for log in details or warns people they will be blocked from using the service, popular for programmes such as House of Cards, Breaking Bad and Black Mirror.
But police have warned not to respond.
The Cheshire force wrote on Facebook: “FRAUD WARNING: Watch out for these fake Netflix emails that want your login details and payment information!”
The post has been shared hundreds of times by Facebook users, many of who praised the police for their quick thinking.
Some Facebook users admitted they had already received the email – but, luckily, said they had ignored or deleted the message.
And others warned that different companies, including Amazon and Paypal, had been hit by a similar scam, not just Netflix.
