Police launch appeal to find missing teenager last seen in Ayr

Police in Ayrshire are appealing for information about a missing teenager who was last seen on Saturday night.

Mohammed Ali, 17, was last seen in Ayr at around 9.35pm on Saturday, November 23 and Police Scotland are “growing increasingly concerned” for his welfare.

He is known to frequent the Ayr and Maybole areas and anyone who may have seen him is asked to contact the police.

Last seen wearing a black top, black jogging bottoms and a black jacket, Mohammed is described as 5ft 5in tall, medium build and with short, black hair.

Police Sergeant Fraser, of Ayr Police Office, said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Mohammed. He is known to visit Ayr, Maybole and the surrounding areas and I would appeal to anyone who sees him to get in touch.

“If you believe you can assist our efforts to trace Mohammed please call 101, quoting incident number of 3665 of November 23.”
