Police launch murder probe as man, 19, stabbed to death after a party in Kensington

Police have launched a murder probe after a 19-year-old was found stabbed to death outside a party in Kensington.

The young man was found suffering from stab wounds by patrol officers in Logan Place, west London at around 3.20am on Sunday.

Scotland Yard said they were called to reports of a large number of vehicles, which were gathered after a nearby party on Earls Court Road.

London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene but - despite extensive efforts to revive him - the teenager died at the scene shortly after he was found.

Police are working to inform his next of kin, and they await formal identification.

A post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.

A man, 19, was arrested near to the scene in connection with the incident, and he is being held at a west London police station.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Cranwell, who is leading the investigation, said: “While we are in the very early stages of our investigation, we know there was a party at a nearby address on Earls Court Road around the time of this incident.

"We are still working to establish any link, but it does mean the area would have been busy with vehicles and pedestrians at the time.

“I want to hear from anyone who was in the area; did you witness an altercation? Every fragment of information is beneficial to our investigation and I would urge anyone who may know something to contact police immediately.”
