Police launch search to find missing man who vanished from Scots hospital

A search has been launched to trace a man who went missing from an Ayrshire hospital.

Sean Caldwell was last seen at Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock around 2.45pm on Friday.

The 30-year-old is described as being around 6ft, 5in tall, medium build, with blue eyes, brown hair and facial hair.

When last seen, Sean was wearing a salmon pink football top with a dark hooded top and navy-blue shorts.

Police Scotland have been checking CCTV from the surrounding area for any additional information on where Sean may have gone.

He is known to visit the Ayrshire and Paisley areas.

Sergeant Claire Walker said: “There are concerns that Sean may require medical attention and we are concerned for his safety and wellbeing.

“I am appealing to anyone who may have seen Sean or who has any information as to his whereabouts to get in touch with us. It’s important we confirm he is safe and well.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2084 of Friday, 14 June, 2024.
