Police launch urgent appeal to find 'woman in distress' spotted in BMW in Carlisle
Cumbria Police are appealing for sightings of a BMW car following reports of a woman in distress.
At around 11.20pm last night (Saturday, September 21), cumbria-police>Cumbria Police were called to reports of a woman that was seen potentially in distress. She was in a blue BMW X3 estate car with the registration number A020 SNZ.
The car was seen on the London Road retail park and Pizza Hut outlet in Carlisle. The car was then seen driving south in the direction of Cumwhinton Road.
The driver of the car was a man who said he's from Glasgow and has been described as Asian with a full beard and moustache. He has also been described as being around 30-40 years old.
Police officers are concerned for the woman's welfare and would like to trace the vehicle and speak with her. The vehicle may be in Carlisle or the North Cumbria area, but it could have also travelled elsewhere.
Members of the public who mat have seen the car or have any information are encouraged to contact Cumbria Police. If anyone has seen this vehicle or has any information that could help police they are asked to call 999, referring to log 300 of September 21.
