A mum missing with her four young children has been found safe and well after an urgent police appeal.

Officers were trying to trace missing mother Jemma Jones, 33, who vanished with her four children aged three to eleven.

Jemma had been reported missing from Merthyr Tydfil on Monday, along with her children Christopher, 11, Julian, 9, Maddison, 7, and Stephen, 3.

A South Wales Police spokesperson said this afternoon: "We can now confirm that Jemma and her four children, who were reported missing from Merthyr Tydfil yesterday, have been located safe and well."

The appeal, which was launched in the early hours of Tuesday morning, had already been shared more than 1,000 times of Facebook.
