Police manhunt after motorbike rider pushed off and badly injured in Huddersfield

Police investigating an attempted robbery in Huddersfield have released images of people they are trying to identify.

The police appeal related to an incident where a motorbike rider was pushed from his machine in Lockwood Road, Lockwood. He suffered serious injuries when he hit a wall.

The male victim was riding his motorbike down Lockwood Road between 6:15am and 6:20am on April 6 when he has swerved to avoid a group of four people, believed to be males, who were walking in the road. It is reported that two of the group pushed and kicked the victim, causing him to crash his motorbike into a nearby garden wall.

While the victim was injured on the floor asking for help, the group approached him and attempted to take his motorbike, but left the scene when they realised the motorbike was damaged.

The victim suffered serious injuries as a result of the incident and required hospital treatment.

As part of ongoing enquiries, images have been released of a group of four individuals and closer up images of two people who police are trying to identify.

Detectives from the Kirklees District Crime Team are keen to speak to anyone who recognises the people pictured or who has any other information that could assist the ongoing enquiries into this incident.

The individuals pictured are encouraged to come forward themselves to speak to police in relation to this incident.
