A woman was met by police officers at Stoke Station after a row erupted on a train. Footage shared on social media showed the shocking moment a woman told an NHS dentist to "go back to your own country" as an argument broke out.

The unnamed male dentist was on an Avanti West Coast train from London to Manchester when he became embroiled in a dispute with a fellow passenger sat opposite him.

In a video posted on TikTok by therealdrmero, the two-minute altercation starts with the woman telling the dentist to "go back to Morocco or Tunisia". The man, who filmed the video, tries to explain to the vile woman that he was born in the UK, but the woman hits back saying "It doesn't look like it".

She is then pressed on whether she is British herself but she refuses to answer. The stunned man replies: "That is racist what you said, don't disrespect me like that. You probably weren't born here yourself."

Fellow passengers can be heard later on in the video describing the comments as "disgusting". The man then informs her he's been recording the shocking outburst, to which she replies: 'Good, good, show it to the police - I have no regrets. Show it to the police, show it to the staff."

A second video posted showed a woman being led away from Stoke Station by British Transport Police officers, the Mirror reports.
