Police have named a man arrested following a bungalow fire in Stoke-on-Trent. Stanley Tamakloe, 59, of Penkhull, has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life.

It comes after officers went to an address near Hunters Way, Penkhull, just after 1am on Friday, June 7 as a blaze ripped through a property.

Officers said the house was 'well alight' and a man in his 50s was taken to hospital in a non-life threatening condition.

Tamakloe is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre tomorrow (June 11).
