Police name man found dead at Stoke-on-Trent home as appeal issued

Police have named man who died at home as an appeal has been launched to trace his relatives. Carl Ashton passed away at his address in Boothen.

Officers have confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the 68-year-old's death. Now the coroner's office is looking to track Mr Ashton's next of kin.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "His Majesty’s Coroner’s Office in Stoke-on-Trent is appealing for help to trace the family of a man who died recently. Carl Ashton, aged 68, died at his home in the Boothen area of Stoke-on-Trent. His death is not being treated as suspicious.

"HM Coroner for Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire needs to trace next of
kin. Any family members or friends or persons who can provide information as to possible relatives, are asked to get in touch."
