Police name motorcyclist who died in three-vehicle crash on A505 in Cambridgeshire

Police have named the motorcyclist who died following a three-vehicle crash on the A505 in Pampisford. Emergency services were called to The Causeway at around 5.15pm on Wednesday, September 18.

The crash involved a Yamaha R125, a delivery van, and a Mercedes AMG.

James Layzell, 30, of Chaffix, Felsted, in Essex, who was riding the Yamaha motorcycle, died at the scene. The driver of the Mercedes, a woman in her 60s, was not injured.

The driver of the van, a 49-year-old man from Kettering, was also not injured. He was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released on bail until December 15.
