Police name victim of fatal hit and run in north west London as they release details of cars involved

Police have named the victim of a fatal hit and run collision in north west London as they released details of the cars they are hunting in connection with the incident.

Yussef Adebiyi, 49, died after being hit by a car in Neasden in the early hours of May 20.

His sister described him as a “gentle giant who loved his music.”

Police said the two cars they believe to be involved are black 5 Series BMW’s with one expected to have significant damage to the bonnet and windscreen.

Officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision just after 3am and found Mr Adebiyi on the A406. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The two cars failed to stop following the incident. Police said their registrations are: EX66 TZE and EX66 TZV.

Mr Adebiyi’s sister said: “I have lost my only brother. He was a gentle giant who loved his music and I am going to miss him so much.

“I want the person(s) who did this to do the right thing and hand themselves into the police.”

Detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating and are appealing for witnesses and people with dash cam footage of the collision to contact them.
