Police Officer Among Two Killed by Russian Shelling in Ukraine's Sumy Oblast
Russian shelling killed at least two people, including a police officer, in the city of Bilopillya in Ukraine’s Sumy Oblast on Friday, March 24, Suspilne News reported.
Sumy regional police said 37-year-old senior police lieutenant Vadym Listopad was killed as a result of Russian shelling in the city overnight.
Four policemen and five civilians were also wounded, Suspilne reported, citing the acting head of the Sumy regional administration, Taras Savchenko.
Drone footage from Suspilne shows the aftermath of the shelling in the center of the city. Recovery crews and machinery can be seen searching and removing the rubble of a damaged building.
