Cumbria Police have stopped a driver this week who was using their mobile phone whilst driving.

Police officers in the Eden area stopped the driver who was travelling through Penrith.

A spokesperson from Cumbria Police said: "Both hands off the steering wheel, both hands using his mobile phone. Vehicle stopped and driver issued Traffic Offence Report.

"It’s 1500, driving near a primary school, approaching a traffic light. Please connect to Bluetooth or pull over."
