Police, paramedics and three fire engines called to M6 Cheshire crash

Three fire engines were among the emergency services sent to a collision on the M6 through Cheshire. Crews, along with police and paramedics were sent to the southbound stretch where two vehicles had collided.

And firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to 'check for signs of fire' following yesterday's (November 15) smash. The collision took place between junctions 17 and 16 at around 3.20pm.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service sent engines from Crewe, Middlewich and Congleton to the incident. A spokesperson said: "One lane was closed while a thermal imaging camera was used to check for signs of fire. Police and paramedics were in attendance."

No further details on the crash have been released.
