The driver of this ice cream van was left melting at the roadside after he was pulled over by police. Eyebrows were raised when the brightly coloured van was showing up as cloned and untaxed.

There was also a sprinkling of other motoring offences including no insurance and no MOT. The van was scooped on top of a flatbed lorry and driven away.

WMP Traffic posted details of the flakey encounter this week on social media. The post prompted dozens of comments, with one asking if the owner had 'cone-fessed' ?

"The drivers whipped up 99 flakey excuses but we weren’t buying on this occasion, so the music stopped and the van was freezed….seized."
