Police probe death of man on luxury Staffordshire estate

Police are investigating the death of a man found on a luxury Staffordshire estate. Officers and paramedics had been called out to Clifton Park in Clifton Campville - north of Tamworth - on Tuesday morning to reports of a body being found.

Now Staffordshire Police have confirmed an investigation into the man's death is underway. West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to 'an incident' on Netherseal Road just before 5am.

An ambulance service spokeswoman said: "One ambulance and an East Midlands Ambulance Service crew attended the scene. Upon arrival we found a man. Unfortunately nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased at the scene."

Police have warned residents they will see an 'increased number' of cops in the area.

A police spokesperson said: "We have launched an investigation following the death of a man. We were called to a report of a body found in Clifton Park, Clifton Campville. West Midlands Ambulance Service also attended the scene. Sadly, the man was pronounced dead just before 5.30am. An investigation to establish the cause of the death is underway. We are carrying out house-to-house enquiries and nearby residents will see an increased number of officers in the area."
