Police are appealing for witnesses after a pile-up. Emergency services had been called out to the rural stretch between Onecote and Warslow where a van 'came into collision with four vehicles'.

One man went to hospital with a back injury following the smash on January 7. Today and Staffordshire Police have launched an appeal for witnesses to come forward - and want to speak to two truckers who they think may have seen the crash.

The collision on the B5053 occurred at 4.20pm and saw a white Ford Transit van 'come into collision' with four vehicles which included a red Nissan Qashqai and a blue Volkswagen Golf.

A spokeswoman for Staffordshire Police said: "Officers attended and informed council highways. One man from the Nissan later attended hospital with a back injury. Other people did not need medical treatment. We believe two lorry drivers may have witnessed the collision and are encouraging them to come forward."

Anyone who witnessed the crash - or may have relevant dashcam footage - should call Staffordshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 462 of January 7.
