Police have launched an investigation after a Poppy Appeal donation box was stolen from a motorway service station. The box was snatched from a Subway store at the M6 Keele Services between 1.15am and 1.25am on Thursday, November 7.

The exact amount of money stolen - which would have gone to the Royal British Legion as part of its annual appeal - was not clear. Staffordshire Police today released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to following the theft.

One man was pictured wearing a white jumper and red trousers. The other was pictured in a red tracksuit. Both wore caps.
