Police probe after smashed window leaves trail of blood

Police forensics have been called in after a smashed window left a trail of blood. Two teenage girls were seen leaving the scene of the crime last night.

It comes after police had been called to London Road, in Chesterton, at 9.30pm last night. Blood has also been found spattered on Audley Road and in the park.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "We were called to London Road following reports of criminal damage. A window had been smashed at an address in the area. Two young girls, believed to be in their teens, were seen leaving the area on foot. A forensic examination has taken place in the area today (Friday 10 January)."

Police are appealing for witnesses. They should call the police on 101, quoting incident number 688 of January 9, or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
