Police and Protesters Clash During Athens Demonstration Against Deadly Train Crash

Protesters threw Molotov cocktails and police responded with tear gas in Athens on March 16 as thousands went on strike in Greece in response to the Tempi train collision, in which 57 people died.

Local media reported the protest started on the lower side of Syntagma Square, before spreading to an area in front of the parliament building.
