Police release image of man after South Tyneside pub attack left victim fighting for life
This is the man detectives probing a pub attack that left another man fighting for life want to find.
Kevin Gosling, 40, is wanted in connection with the assault, which happened at the Lakeside Inn near Fellgate Estate in Jarrow, South Tyneside on Saturday night.
Police say they received a report from the the ambulance service that a man in his 40s had suffered a serious head injury at the pub. It was reported that during the assault, the victim was punched by another male. He remains in hospital in a "serious but stable condition".

Officers say Mr Gosling is "understood to be actively evading arrest" and that they are carrying out "extensive searches" across the region in a bid to find him. And now the public is being asked to help.
A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "Officers from Northumbria Police are today asking for the public’s help to trace him – and have appealed for anyone with information to come forward. Members of the public are also reminded that harbouring a wanted person is an offence and those involved could face prosecution.
"Gosling, or anyone who believes they have seen him, should send Northumbria Police a direct message on social media or use the live chat function on the Force’s website. Alternatively, for those unable to contact police online, call 101.
