Police Rescue Family Stranded in Australian Desert

South Australia Police rescued a family of four on November 16, after they had been stranded in the Simpson Desert for several days.

On Friday, November 12, the Zavros family’s Mitsubishi Canter 4WD vehicle became stuck in the desert after heavy rainfall. Originally from Perth, they had been travelling across Australia in their truck and documenting their adventures on Instagram.

According to a police statement, the family were given a satellite phone and supplies, as they had to spend four nights in the desert.
