Two LA County Sheriffs’ deputies were shot at close range inside their patrol vehicle on the evening of September 12 in what authorities described as an attack “without warning or provocation.”
The two deputies, a man and a woman, were alive but in “critical condition,” local reports said.
Eyewitness reported a heavy police presence at St Francis Medical Centre in Lynwood, where the two injured officers had been taken.
The sheriff’s office reported that anti-police protesters were blocking access to the hospital’s emergency room.
