Police give update after road accident outside school
Three people taken to hospital after a road accident outside a North Wales school have been discharged. Police gave the update as they launched a renewed appeal for information about the incident which happened on Friday.
North Wales Police gave the latest bulletin on the force's Facebook page. It comes after the collision near Ysgol y Llys in Prestatyn.
Officers said yesterday that the driver of a vehicle had "suffered a medical episode" with the incident happening shortly before 3.15pm that afternoon. They also said on Friday that a child had been taken to hospital as a precaution and a member of the public also sustained minor injuries. They asked people to avoid the area while the incident was dealt with.
In an update today the force posted: "Following a Road Traffic Collision that occurred at Ysgol Y Llys Primary School in Prestatyn on Friday 31st January 2025, three people were taken to hospital and have since been discharged, with minor injuries sustained to a child."
It added: "North Wales Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have been travelling along Princes Avenue, Prestatyn around the time of the collision, with dashcam footage.
