Police scouring CCTV in Coventry after young man 'stabbed in the hip'
Police are carrying out CCTV enquiries after a young man was found with a stab wound in Coventry. He was allegedly attacked on Far Gosford Street on Tuesday (September 10).
Paramedics found a man in his 20s with an injury to his hip, West Midlands Police said. Officers arrived as the man was receiving treatment for the injury, which is believed to be a stab wound.
Thankfully, his injury is not life-changing. Detectives have launched an investigation into the incident and are also reviewing CCTV.

No arrests have yet been made, West Midlands Police said. Witnesses have been urged to get in touch by calling 101 or by using WMP Live Chat.
In a statement issued today, West Midlands Police said: “We were called to Far Gosford Street in Coventry at just after 8.35pm on Tuesday (September 10). Paramedics were with a man who had a stab wound to his hip. Officers attended and found the man was being treated for an injury, which is not believed to be life-changing.
“CCTV from the area is being retrieved and reviewed as we work to establish what has happened and trace who is responsible. Anyone with information can call 101 or message via Live Chat on our website, quoting crime reference 20/832465/24.”
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 8.32pm to reports of a stabbing on Far Gosford Street in Coventry. One ambulance, a paramedic officer and a Critical Care Car from the Air Ambulance Service attended.
“Crews found a man with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. He received treatment at the scene before being conveyed to hospital for further assessment.”
