Missing Gosforth man found after police appeal
A missing Gosforth man has not been seen for more than three days.
UPDATE: On Friday afternoon Northumbria Police confirmed Mathew had been found "safe and well".
Police officers have now issued a formal appeal for help finding Mathew Wiles, 42, who is from the Gosforth area. Mathew was last seen in the Grey Street area of Newcastle city centre at 1pm on Tuesday.
Northumbria Police said officers were growing increasingly concerned for his welfare. Anyone with information on Mathew’s whereabouts is asked to contact them immediately.
Mathew is 6ft 4in tall, of medium build and has brown hair and a short beard. He was last seen wearing a navy blue jacket with dark trousers and was carrying a dark-coloured rucksack.
