Police Search for Two Missing in Floodwaters as Rain Brings Renewed Warnings to New South Wales

Police continued searching for two men missing in regional New South Wales, after heavy rain brought renewed flooding to central and southern parts of the state.

New South Wales Police said they were called to the rural town of Bevendale, following reports a vehicle had been swept into floodwaters after the driver attempted to cross a flooded causeway.

“Two men managed to free themselves from the cabin of the vehicle, however, another two men who are believed to have been travelling in the tray, have not been located,” they said.

This footage, filmed by David Crooks, shows floodwaters rushing down the main street of the town of Adelong on Tuesday morning.

The State Emergency Service had issued emergency warnings for the town on Monday night, but warnings were downgraded to flood advice on Tuesday. Credit: David Crooks via Storyful
