Missing Sunderland woman is found safe and well, police confirm

Police searching for a 53-year-old woman have confirmed she has been found safe and well

The woman was last seen in the Gainsborough Road area of Grindon, Sunderland, shortly before 5pm on Monday afternoon. She had not been heard from since.

Officers and her family were growning increasingly concerned for her welfare and extensive searches were carried out to find her

Northumbria Police confirmed on Monday evening the woman has now been found safe and well.
