Countryside cops seized three suspected stolen caravans and took a nosey around a Portaloo as they raided a caravan site near Bicester.

Members of Thames Valley Police’s rural crime team swooped on the site near Edgcott, east of Bicester on the Buckinghamshire-Oxfordshire border.

Among the items seized were caravans allegedly stolen from Kent and Northamptonshire, as well as a number of tools.

A third caravan was confirmed as being stolen when officers checked its details on caravan database CRiS, the Central Registration and Identification Scheme.

Sharing an image of one of their constables looking into a blue-and-yellow portable toilet, officers joked on social media: “Investigations ongoing now we’ve got something to go on.”
