Police seize ten horses in Bradford
POLICE seized ten horses in the Bradford district earlier this month as part of an operation to clamp down on animal abuse.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police, working alongside the RSPCA, seized the horses – after they had suffered neglect – from Baildon on March 6.
Five warning notices over the remaining horses at the property were also given out by authorities, and warnings were also issued in relation to dogs and chickens that were there.
The RSPCA will investigate any offences and closely monitor the remaining animals, it said.
The news was revealed this morning by a Twitter account belonging to a Sgt T Green, the Neighbourhood Policing Team Sergeant for Baildon, Bingley and Bingley Rural.
The operation was part of West Yorkshire Police’s Horsewatch, which aims to protect animals in the region from harm and abuse.
