Police share photos as suspected stolen jewellery found
Merseyside Police have issued images of suspected stolen jewellery which was recovered over the weekend. Two men were stopped by police for riding a suspected stolen bike on Carr Mill Road in St Helens at around 5.45pm on Sunday, August 25.
The men abandoned the bike and ran off, leaving the jewellery behind. The bike was found to have been stolen from an address in Lancashire in July. Police said enquiries are ongoing to trace the owner or owners of the jewellery and identify the offenders.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We are issuing images of suspected stolen jewellery which was recovered in St Helens at the weekend. At around 5.45pm on Sunday 25 August, officers attempted to stop a suspected stolen bike in Carr Mill Road. Two males abandoned the bike and made off, discarding a large quantity of jewellery."
