Police have welcomed the closure of a problem-hit Stoke-on-Trent address. They have secured a closure order to kick residents out of the property on Foden Street, in Stoke.

It follows complaints about drugs being sold from the property and a nearby caravan and people using the local alleyways as a toilet. North Staffordshire Justice Centre granted the three-month closure order.

Inspector Emma Kempson, from Staffordshire Police, said: “Everyone living within our towns and cities should feel safe in their surroundings and we are committed to tackling any type of anti-social behaviour. As such, we will continue to take action against those who bring misery to our communities and cause persistent problems across Stoke-on-Trent.”
